This privacy policy explains how we (Ipsos Research Private limited) use any personal information we collect about you (“Mystery Shopper”, ”you” or “your”), when you join our iShopFor Ipsos on-line panel / network (“Panel”), take part in Tasks (as defined in the Terms and Conditions or surveys or use the iShopFor Ipsos Website and our online platform and mobile application named iShopFor Ipsos System supplied by Research Metrics.

1. What information do we collect about you?
We collect the information you provide in completing our recruitment form when you decide to join our Panel.
Through the iShopFor Ipsos Website, Ipsos may collect information that can specifically identify you, such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address when you register. We also collect the country and language preferences you have selected when registering on the webpage.
Other information is collected using our iShopFor Ipsos System supplied and supported by Research Metrics, when you fill out your iShopFor Ipsos Shopper Profile, complete any Task you to participate in, or you provide feedback, comments or other information. The minimum information collected are:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Phone
- Address
- Language
- Country

2. Why we collect information from you?
The primary purpose, why we collect information from you is to ensure that we can fulfil our agreement with you. When you join the iShopFor Ipsos panel, we enter into a contract with you, which is subject to this Privacy Policy as well as our framework agreement Terms and Conditions. Equally when you accept any Task, we enter into a further agreement pursuant to the framework agreement.
In order to fulfil the framework agreement by inviting you to appropriate Tasks, we need to collect and process the information requested during the recruitment or which you may subsequently add to your profile on the iShopFor Ipsos System and process it using automated means. This information will also be required to send you any fees and to contact you concerning any Tasks.
We then also collect information from you based upon any agreement in respect of a Task. Your acceptance of such Tasks is at your choice. There might also be situations where we are seeking information from you based on your consent or even explicit consent where this might be appropriate or required.
3. How will we use the information you provide?
We will use the information you provide to:
- Fulfil our framework agreement or any Task specific agreement with you
- Keep a record of all Mystery Shoppers.
- We use your name, telephone number and email address to contact you when appropriate Tasks are available or if we need to validate any of your responses; and to give you feedback on the Tasks you have undertaken for us. We use your postal address, date of birth, gender and other responses to ensure that you match the profile requirements for any Task.
- We may also use these details to analyse the responses from all shoppers and determine whether or not any trends amongst certain profiles emerge.
- Send you invitations to participate in Tasks that are relevant to you based on the information you provided on your Mystery Shopper profile, or by answering emails questions or surveys.
- Send you an email to your electronic address containing a verification code, in order to verify your application and activate your Mystery Shopper account.
- Append personal information about you to your responses to any Tasks you participate in, such as geographical location, occupation categories etc. for analysing the Task responses and producing anonymous, statistical research results.
- Enter you into any prize draws that you are eligible to take part in or, where invited to do so, have asked to be entered.
- With your explicit consent which would be sought at the relevant time, to pass your individual Tasks responses together with your personal information to the client who commissioned the Task. The client will use this information only for research purposes as explained in the Task. The client may also use this information to contact you to invite your participation in further research they conduct, or training, but only where you have been informed of this and have explicitly consented prior to your information being provided to the client for this purpose.
- To create anonymous, statistical profiles of the Panel membership based on the information provided by Mystery Shoppers.
- With your consent, to pass your information to other Ipsos Group companies so that they may invite you to participate in research studies they are carrying out and that may be relevant to you.
- Send you by email, electronic newsletters, mobile notifications, announcements and other communications as you agreed in the registration process.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal data we process are accurate, adequate, relevant and not excessive, given the purpose for which they were obtained. We will not process personal data obtained for one purpose for any unconnected purpose unless you have agreed to this would otherwise reasonably expect this.
We will NEVER use your information for any purpose other than research and as described in this policy. Other than in relation to this Panel, we will not try to sell you anything, nor use your information for marketing purposes. Nor will we ever pass your information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Third parties
We may use sub-contractors, applications, or affiliated companies to carry out some work on our behalf, control and responsibility, for data hosting, making payments to you, translation, communication, map creation based on movement of profile (please also see section 6 of the Terms and Conditions) or as described above. Some of these sub-contractors may be based outside of India; however, they are required to abide by the same data privacy legal requirements and security arrangements as ourselves and will be subject to appropriate safeguards, a description of which can be obtained by contacting us as set out below.
We are using various Google applications, like Gmail and Google Translate. Any such activity will be subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
Where you are using our Facebook site for communications with us, then this use will be subject to Facebook’s relevant terms of use and privacy policy.
With your express consent we might in specific cases provide your data to our clients.

5. Children
For any tasks aimed at children (below 18 years of age), we will always require prior consent from our Panelists that are either a parent or legal guardian, who are legally responsible for the child, before inviting such child to take part in the research.
6. Use of cookies and similar code
Cookies are small data files that enable the visited website to remember your actions and preferences over a period so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you return to the site. Cookies are not dangerous; however, they are significant for privacy protection. Cookies cannot be used for identifying individual visitors to the website, nor for fraudulent use of login credentials.
Our iShopFor Ipsos website collects information using 'cookies' and functionally similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your computer. Specifically, in respect of cookies, further details of what cookies are can be found by visiting www.aboutcookies.org.

7. How long will we keep the data you provide?
We will keep the information you provided when you joined our Mystery Shopper Panel, together with any information you provided in response to Tasks for as long as you remain a Mystery Shopper of the Panel.
When your membership in the Mystery Shopper Panel ends, we will delete your personal information. Nothwithstanding, we might retain only that part of the personal information as may be required to prevent you from re-joining (where you were removed from the Mystery Shopper Panel BIOS) or as legally/statutorily required to be maintained by Ipsos.
Ipsos may retain as a legal proof of your past collaboration certain data such as your name, date of birth, addresse, social security number, banking details, etc. These data are kept for up to 3 years for all purposes (except of records maintained by Ipsos under statutory requirement)
8. How do you ensure my personal information is secure?
We take our responsibilities to keep your personal information secure very seriously. As such we take every reasonable precaution to ensure your information is protected from loss, theft or misuse. These precautions include appropriate physical security of our offices, controlled access to computer systems, and use of secure, encrypted internet connections when collecting personal information.
If a Personal Data breach occurs and is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you, the Data Controller and the appropriate supervisory authority in a timely fashion.
9. How can you get access to your information and/or correct it and/or request its transfer and/or erasure? What are your rights?
Privacy Related requests and Data Corrections
To submit a privacy related request, consult and or modify the information you provided you can login to the iShopFor Ipsos System. However, certain information change requests require manual intervention to be modified / deleted.
In such cases, please submit a request in the iShopFor Ipsos online platform or contact our Ipsos Shopper Support Team. To submit a privacy related request, you need to connect to iShopFor Ipsos Platform and submit a request in MY PRIVACY Section.
Please note that our team might need time to process your privacy request. Your request will be processed a maximum 30 days after it’s submission.

Unsubscription and Erasure request
In order to leave our Shopper Panel, you need to connect to iShopFor Ipsos Platform and submit a request in MY PRIVACY section.
Please note that your request of leaving the panel can be proceed only once all the task assigned to you were validated and their payment was done.
Once your unsubscribe demand is processed, most of your data will be deleted and your account will be disactivated.
Please note that certain of your personal data necessary to your identification will be kept by ipsos as a legal proof of our past collaboration.
The following data might be kept about you: name, date of birth, addresse, social security number, banking details, etc.
Also note that the unsubscription is irreversible, therefore we won’t be able to re-cover your account.
Your Rights
You have the right to request a copy of all the information we hold about you. You also have the right to request the rectification of any personal data we hold about you. Furthermore, you have the right for all personal information about you, that you have provided to us, to be transferred to another party. In various circumstances you also have the right to request from us the deletion or erasure of the personal information we hold about you subject to the limitation set out above under 6.
You also have the right to restrict processing, to object, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
In addition, you have the right to not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produce legal or other significant effects for you. If a Personal Data breach occurs and is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you, the Data Controller and the appropriate supervisory authority in a timely fashion.
